The beekeeper's choice leans towards red. A strong new queen bee comes from a well-formed queen cell; the size of the cell shows the way.

The other small queen cells are destroyed by the beekeeper... Because if a weak queen hatches first, she will destroy all the other queen cells and the colony will have a less strong and healthy queen.

The size of the queen cell is an indicator of the quality of the new queen.

The rest are cells of ordinary bees and a few drones, the ones that protrude.
