World Bee Day
Do you know why May 20th has been designated as World Bee Day?
From a Slovenian beekeeper.
Anton Janša was a Slovenian beekeeper and painter.
Janša is considered as the pioneer of modern beekeeping.
He was born on May 20, 1734, in Breznica.
Although he studied painting, he was drawn to beekeeping, in which he gained extensive experience, resulting in him working as a beekeeping teacher at the Habsburg Court in Vienna.
