Royal cells

Spring... The season of the new Queen, but also of royal jelly.
The time to choose.

In the large red circle, filled with royal jelly, Royal Cell.
In the blue circle, small Queen Cells
The beekeeper's choice leans toward red. A new queen is strong... the size of the cell shows the way.

The other small queen cells are destroyed by the beekeeper... Because if a weak queen hatches first, she will destroy all the other queen cells and the colony will have a less strong and healthy queen.
The size of the queen cell is an indicator of the quality of the new queen.

The rest are cells of ordinary bees and a few drones, the ones that protrude.
